Quantum Scholars are working alongside a thriving secondary school in Berkshire, committed to providing a high-quality education in a supportive and dynamic environment. They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join them in January 2025! Ideally, you would have taught Chemistry up to A-Level.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Chemistry for Key Stage 3 and 4 students, incorporating a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of the science curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners and aligns with national standards.
  • Assessment: Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their potential.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department and across the school to share best practices and develop interdisciplinary projects.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in science education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Must be a qualified teacher.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level is preferred.
