Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading national private health hospital group.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Clinical / Forensic Psychologist to join as a Principal Psychologist for a private healthcare rehabilitation center based in Thatcham.

Reporting to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of delivering strategic and clinical strategies to grow and further develop the care pathway through specialist psychological advice and consultations

You will have experience and knowledge in carrying a designated caseload, including assessing service users with complex needs, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment within secure/PICU services.

As a Principal Clinical/Forensic Psychologist you will be:

  • Deputising for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
  • Taking a key role in service development
  • Line Management of specified team members
  • Providing robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team
  • Providing evidence based psychological assessment
  • Provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs
  • Contributing to MDT care planning, professional development within the team, and auditing and research as directed by the line manager

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Eligible for Chartered Membership of the BPS
  • Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis.
