We are looking for a Qualified SEN Teacher to join our team at a brilliant SEN school based in Thatcham, West Berkshire. With a focus on supporting students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs, we are looking for an SEN Teacher that has an understanding of special educational needs. Our school is designed to engage students in their education with a personalised approach and we want to welcome a dedicated SEN Teacher to supporting students as soon as possible!

The school has just opened a newly developed building, with the aim of providing children with high quality education and personalised support. As an SEN Teacher, you will be delivering a wide curriculum to neurodiverse children with additional needs related to speech, communication, cognitive skills and sensory/physical needs.

SEN Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting a class of 4-5 students
  • Planning, leading and teaching classroom activities
  • Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCP's
  • Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated and inspired
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants so they can effectively support pupils

We are looking for a Qualified Teacher who is compassionate, resilient and committed to heling pupils reach their potential. Communication skills are key, both verbal and written communication will be a big part of your role.
