Financial Controller

Your new companyMy client, an established manufacturing SME in the Thetford area is seeking a commercially astute Accountant to join them in the role of Financial Controller.

Your new roleWorking closely with Senior Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounts function. Key duties will include management and financial reporting; budgeting and forecasting; finance business partnering; financial variance analysis; maintaining financial systems and procedures; cash-flow management and reporting; VAT returns; payroll management; overseeing ledgers; and staff management and mentoring.

What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally be Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or studying the final stages of your professional qualification, with strong financial and management reporting skills, combined with confident analytical and IT skills. Staff management of a small team or mentoring experience would be preferable. Strong communication skills with the ability to build working relationships across the business will be essential.
