Our client provides Internal Audit services to members of the Eastern Internal Audit Services (EIAS) Consortium and is looking for a curious individual with an enquiring mind to join their team.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Norfolk (Hybrid working)

About the Role:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your internal audit knowledge and experience while exploring innovative technologies, including AI and data analytics. You will play a vital role in providing independent assurance to Consortium clients regarding their risk management, governance, and internal control processes. With the support of the Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking varied audits and grant certifications.
  • Conducting audits in various public sector areas, including homelessness, housing, probation, governance, and transformation projects.
  • Collaborating closely with the Senior Internal Auditor and Head of Internal Audit.
  • Following up on audit recommendations and monitoring external contractors' activities.
  • Engaging with external contractors and client officers during audits and follow-up work.

About You:

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A Level 4 Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk (or working towards it) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and discretion, as the role involves access to sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to apply critical thinking and scepticism in your work.
