About the role:Working within a small friendly Finance team of three and reporting into, and supported by the management accountant, this is a key role within the business to ensure that all office administration and data recording is completed in a timely and effective manner. The role will encompass a wide range of tasks covering every area of the business.Job requirements of Accounts Administrator:
  • On a weekly basis inputting pig movements and sales data into Excel files to facilitate the completion of the weekly accounts.
  • Assist the Transport Manager with weekly feed ordering, preparing orders for the mill and assisting with any subsequent amendments.
  • Weekly feed invoice coding and posting which includes the collation of relevant backing documentation.
  • Coding and posting of other purchase invoices and preparation of weekly supplier payments.
  • Completion of weekly tasks for management – AI orders, stock bookings, vet prescriptions, licenses.
  • Assist with completion of weekly and monthly reports as required by the management accountant.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Flexible working approach – prepared to learn different areas of the business and perform the tasks required each week to maintain the effective functioning of the office
  • To be a motivated individual who will work seamlessly with office colleagues and the wider farm management team
  • To use your initiative and deal with issues as and when they arise
  • Good excel skills – knowledge of formulas not required but the ability to comfortably navigate and enter data into large spreadsheets
