Finance Administrator – £26,000 - £28,000 (Full time equivalent)- Part Time – Thetford

Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwich are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator to manage finance and general administration activities at a successful and growing business in Thetford, Norfolk. This role involves comprehensive management of operations and finance administration using the company's accountancy software, covering all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and the general ledger.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Daily reporting on progress to forecast, order intake, and cash collection.
  • Handling accruals, prepayments, and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Posting depreciation and reconciling stock.
  • Producing customer invoices and maintaining customer records on the sales ledger.
  • Reconciling receipts from customers and managing credit control.
  • Posting all accounts payable invoices and maintaining supplier records on the purchase ledger.
  • Conducting banking reconciliations including company credit cards and managing debtors.
  • Liaising with the internal accountant to produce monthly management accounts.
  • Managing hourly paid staff timesheets and monthly overtime reporting.
  • Completing HMRC reporting, preparing information for the annual audit, and processing examination reports & owner’s manuals.
  • Performing any other general administrative duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounting function.
  • Previous experience using accounting software.
  • Numerate and analytical with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Good customer service skills, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving ability.
