Our client is a national accountancy firm, who seek a knowledgeable Bookkeeper to join covering the work of one of their satellite offices, and some London clients.

This can be a predominantly remote post, going into the office as and when you need, or want to, so it will preferred if you are located in East Anglia.  No travel to London will be required. 

The role of Bookkeeper will include –

  • Double entry bookkeeping.
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Return’s
  • Processing sales invoices; - receipts and payments
  • Preparation of statements showing income and expenditure - completing VAT returns
  • Preparing wages and processing expenses claims
  • Assisting with preparing P&L accounts and balance sheets
  • Registering records received by clients and checking the information is relevant and complete

The role will require those with sound knowledge and experience of producing work up to trial balance from client receipts and records within an accountancy practice environment, or those with substantial and a general interest in assisting multiple clients.

Experience of systems such as Receipt Bank, Quickbooks, Xero or TaxCalc is preferential but not essential.
