Job Title: Head of Commercial
Location: Thetford
Joining as a Commercial Manager, you will be joining a successful manufacturing business who support customers across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, space, defence, transport, audio, motorsport & instrumentation. You will be responsible for overseeing all internal account management activities with a focus on building strong long-term partnerships with customers.
As a Commercial Manager your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Convey and enact the company strategy to drive customer revenue growth by identifying customer needs and pain points and providing tailored solutions that meet their requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as production, engineering and procurement, to design and present customised solutions that address the unique needs of each client.
- Ensure an appropriate approach to negotiation of terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement is reached, including SOW review and sign off.
- Establish and maintain appropriate delegated levels of authority within the commercial team for key aspects such as Pricing, Order Acceptance, Quotations.
- Managing order renewals and ensuring timely negotiations for order extensions or modifications.
- Supporting account managers in addressing client concerns, resolving conflicts, and finding solutions to challenges.
- Review, enhance and develop front end process and procedures to optimise the customer experience.
- Gather feedback from clients and relaying it to the relevant departments within the company to help in continuous improvement, innovation and meet company KPIs.
- Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty is a priority by working to anticipate and address potential issues before they impact the client's experience.
- Analyse sales data and trends to prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and account reviews to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation.
The successful Commerical Manager will ideally have the below skills and experience:
- Experience and basic knowledge of electronic component and/or part numbers or closely related market Customer centric and commercially astute.
- Experience in the EMS sector. Excel experience.
- Reporting and forecasting. Concise communication skills.
- ERP/MRP (SAP and Salesforce would be beneficial)
