Electrical / Electronics Engineer (AutoCAD) £up to 50k Base + Bonus

As an experienced electrical engineer, electrical project engineer, electronics engineer or electro-mechanical engineer - specialising in AutoCAD and electrical design you will join an expanding project team responsible for being part of the specialised electrical design of high-tech systems equipment for a variety of clients.

As an electrical / electronic engineer this would be ideal for someone with experience in

electrical AutoCAD, a strong understanding of 3-phase (three phase) systems, and experience with large machinery / systems.

As a skilled electrical engineer you are crucial to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning phases of electrical projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Use of electrical AutoCAD, a strong understanding of 3-phase systems,
  • Designing Electrical Systems: Develop plans and specifications for electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and wiring layouts.
  • Component Selection: Choose suitable components like wires, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches based on project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Procurement: Collaborate with the procurement team to source equipment and materials, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure electrical designs adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, system engineers, and teams in production, testing, and aftersales.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, test results, and project specifications for future reference, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Project Management: Depending on the organisation and scope, you may assist with project management tasks like team coordination.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new advancements, tools, and techniques in the rapidly evolving field of electrical engineering.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field of study (i.e., electrical / electronic engineering)
  • Experience in electrical engineering roles.
  • Applicants preferred from large machinery design, system design, manufacturing, automation.
  • May suit people working with large machinery experience - Automotive / Aerospace / Oil / Gas / Nuclear Marine/ utilities / Chemical Process
  • This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical AutoCAD, a strong understanding of 3-phase

(Three-phase) systems,

  • Project management and budget management skills and experience
  • An ability to interpret Electrical drawings
  • Able to develop both individual and team technical capabilities
