Finance Analyst - Thetford
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Analyst to join our clients’ manufacturing team in Thetford. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting cost control initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Controller in maintaining and controlling divisional expenditure.
- Timely and accurate accounts reporting to ensure financial integrity.
- Cost accounting for multiple projects.
- Responsible for the end-of-month Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) submissions.
- Prepare departmental Profit and Loss (P/L) accounts.
- Assist with annual budgeting, re-forecasting, and audit preparation.
- Administer and manage project-related financial activities.
- Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Create and monitor general ledger codes to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Record inter-company costs and ensure accurate transactional data.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, encouraging cost control and efficiency improvements throughout the business.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Desirable: AAT Qualified or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong double-entry accounts experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data and create meaningful reports.
- Ability to successfully interact with employees at all levels within the organisation, developing positive relationships.
