Keeler Recruitment are representing a business based in the Thetford area who are seeking a proactive and dynamic Accounts Payable Manager. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who thrives on change, demonstrating energy and pace in their approach. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and enhance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution.
Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors in accordance with contractual terms.
Maintain an organised system for invoice approvals, payment schedules, and records.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team
- Provide training and guidance on best practices, system efficiencies, and issue resolution.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and establish clear objectives for team members.
Invoice & Payment Processing:
- Oversee invoice validation, coding, and data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely preparation and execution of payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes, incorporating best practices.
- Implement new technologies or methodologies to optimize workflow and reduce errors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
