Job Title: CNC TurnerLocation: ThetfordHourly Rate: £16.00 - £17.50 per hour dependent on experienceHours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setting, and running CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards of craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Work with a variety of materials, ensuring components meet required specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Perform quality checks on completed parts to maintain consistent accuracy and finish.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve production processes and efficiency.
Machines You Will Be Working With:
  • Daewoo Puma 230M with Live Tooling
  • Daewoo Puma 20000SY with Live Tooling
  • Nakamura-Tome TMC 30
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with the ability to program, set, and operate CNC lathes.
  • Familiarity with the specified CNC machines is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
