Logistics Supervisor/ManagerBased in Thetford£32,000 - £36,000 per annum Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor/Manager to oversee and optimize our clients logistics operations. This role is critical in replacing a long-serving team member who is set to retire. The role has been redefined to meet the evolving needs of their business, and we are looking for a candidate who can step in. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of goods.
  • Lead, train, and develop the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Identify and implement improvements in logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand without overstocking.
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage inbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Hands on assistance within warehousing and stores area’s when required
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics such as delivery times, costs, and inventory levels.
 Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in logistics, with a track record of successful management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including inventory management, supplier coordination, and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
