This is a newly created role due to company growth and has been created to strengthen the engineering team within this specialist manufacturing site.  Growing year on year, the business has maintained a family feel and people focused culture.  They care about their employees, the environment they work in, and their future development.  They are looking for a Production Engineer with solid process engineering experience and understanding of maintenance scheduling. Core duties include:
  • Refine and improve production process
  • Assess and analyse current production methods
  • Ensure all steps of production run efficiently
  • Follow product specifications and quality control measures
  • Educate employees on proper methods to operate machinery
  • Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems
  • Follow and promote all safety rules and regulations
  • Develop and maintain the CMMS system (Shire)
  • Manage and control the permit to work system
  • Manage contractors on site
We are looking for candidates with knowledge of both electrical and mechanical engineering with qualifications or apprentice trained.  You will have worked in a factory environment with strong communication and problem solving skills. This is a Monday to Friday role with some flexibility on start times in busy periods.  There is a completive salary on offer with overtime available and excellent benefits.
