Salary: 60,000 - 65,000 + Package
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (with some flexibility)
We are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to oversee an area of a fast-paced food manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive performance, reliability, and team development within an established and reputable business.
The Role:
Lead and manage a team of engineers within the packing department.
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum equipment efficiency.
Implement and improve PPM systems using CMMS.
Manage budgets, resource allocation, and project coordination.
Develop engineering staff through training, assessments, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Work closely with external contractors and internal stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven leadership experience in an engineering role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).
Well-versed in both mechanical and electrical systems with the ability to provide hands-on technical support when required.
Strong knowledge of high-speed manufacturing equipment, engineering principles, and maintenance strategies.
Excellent people management skills with the ability to develop and lead a team.
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets and projects effectively.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving.
