Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEMH needs and a commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other staff.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Work closely with the school’s multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
