Rare opportunity to join a vibrant Engineering company based in South Norfolk this company has an enviable global presence we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing team with sourcing, negotiating and procurement of goods and services for a number of very exciting projects. A varied role with scope for career progression for the right individual the role will include:

  • Development and maintenance of BOM's
  • Working with the Purchasing Team purchasing goods, materials, components or services in-line with cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Communication on any supply issues arising impacting on the project time-lines
  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing
  • Review cost reduction activities
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
  • Support with purchasing administration

Requirements

  • Great organisational skills and time management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT knowledge
  • Experience gained within a engineering or manufacturing enviroment = desired not essential
  • A recent graduate or change of career with a desire to progress within a procurement career

A full time role - Office based due to the location you will need a full UK licence
