Science Technician

Location: Thetford
Position: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join a vibrant school in Thetford on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful candidate will support teaching staff and pupils with preparing and setting up experiments, ensuring the laboratories are maintained within health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing materials and equipment before lessons
• Providing technical support for A Level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
• Stocktaking and managing chemicals and materials
• Cleaning and maintaining lab apparatus and chemicals
• Assisting with examination apparatus
• Responding to and managing chemical spills
• Collaborating with teaching staff and other technicians

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school laboratory (advantageous)
• Ability to use ICT
• Relevant Science qualifications
