Contract Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Thetford, Norfolk who are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

 

Our client specialise in compressed air systems, looking after everything from air demand through to air supply, maintenance and air quality testing

 

The role 

• Reporting to the Service Manager and liaising with the service coordinators.

• The candidate will be responsible for the following type of work

o Service

o Repair

o Fault diagnosis

o Commissioning of new equipment

• Manage and utilise the Protean software system.

• Communicating customer requirements back to the service coordinators in written format. Communicating any changes in site circumstances or changes to site equipment back to the service coordinators in written format.

• Identifying spare parts requirement on site including part numbers and reporting back to the service coordinators in written format.

• Referring complaints of service or product failure to service coordinators for investigation by the Contract Manager.

• Communicating solutions, successes, and opportunities to the Service Manager.

 

Your experience/qualities will include:

• HND/HNC in an engineering discipline preferable but not essential

• Calmness under pressure.

• Must be able to diagnose and solve equipment faults.

• Maintain records to a high standard.

• Good interpersonal relationship skills.

• Good decision-making, communication, and IT skills.

• Should have sound practical judgement of priorities.

• Willingness to work alone and as part of a team.

 

Pay Rate

£30,000 to £35,000 Per annum - dependant on experience

 

Shifts/Hours

 

8.30am to 17.30 Monday to Friday
