- Lead supplier selection and development, ensuring suppliers meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Engage with suppliers to assess technical requirements and manage supplier accounts on the company ERP system.
- Monitor costs and budgets, communicate discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production targets.
- Liaise with various departments to keep everyone informed about supply statuses and resolve any invoice queries.
- Identify new suppliers and methods to enhance the company’s purchasing and stock control processes.
- Contribute to cost reduction, product development, and process improvement projects.
- Experience in a manufacturing-based purchasing role with a good grasp of mechanical and electrical processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Competence in interpreting engineering CAD drawings and excellent computer skills.
- A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
