4myschools have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and committed SEN TA (Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant) job at a Secondary School in Thetford, Norfolk. Must be available immediately on either daily supply or for long term assignments.This is within mainstream settings as a 1:1 SEN TA or within SRB (Specialist Resource Base)units within schools. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant Job:- Assist students with SEN in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Support individual learning plans, helping to implement strategies and interventions.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to boost students' confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and share insights on student development.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Experience working with children with SEN/Care Worker.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of specific SEN strategies and interventions is advantageous.
