Job Opportunity: Technical Sales ExecutiveAbout the RoleWe are seeking an ambitious Technical Sales Professional to join our dynamic and growing team within a fast-paced industry. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression within 2-3 years for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, results-driven, and keen to develop within a technical sales environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's standard product portfolio, including air heaters and controls.
  • Learn and utilise internal proposal programmes, costing, and heating calculations.
  • Prepare quotations, specify heating equipment, and negotiate orders.
  • Review and understand terms and conditions of sale.
  • Follow up on quotations and respond to technical queries from customers.
  • Identify potential leads, OEM customers, and establish a distribution network.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for new markets and industries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers within specific regions and industries.
  • Conduct business development activities, including cold calling potential prospects.
  • Arrange and attend customer meetings and presentations to promote company products and services.
  • Monitor global oil and gas/petrochemical projects and industry trends.
  • Focus on maximising potential sales opportunities with OEMs and related packagers in the UK and Europe.
  • Research new leads, markets, and applications, and attend industry exhibitions across Europe.
  • Produce monthly sales and activity reports.
  • Collaborate with management to define and implement strategic growth plans.
  • Support new product development initiatives.
  • Ensure quotations meet customer requirements and comply with relevant industry regulations.
  • Expect regular UK and EU travel as part of the role.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven track record in sales, with previous account management experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in technical product sales, ideally in an external sales role.
  • Ability to engage with senior management, technical teams, and customers effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills to position the company as a differentiated product provider.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Tenacious and proactive in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Foreign language skills and knowledge of hazardous area certification would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
