You will create a stimulating learning environment, where students of all backgrounds are respected, encouraged, and supported in their educational journey.Key Responsibilities of the Functional Skills Tutor:Teach Functional Skills in Maths and English from Entry Level to Level 2.Create an engaging and inspirational learning environment, maintaining high expectations for learner achievement, progression, and success.Build strong, supportive relationships with learners, fostering trust and inclusivity in the classroom.Plan and deliver lessons that enable learners to achieve their educational goals and make consistent progress.Engage with parents to ensure they are informed and supportive of their child’s progress.Model inclusive learning and celebrate diversity in all aspects of the teaching process.Ensure that all learners achieve at least good outcomes in their education.QualificationsA recognised teaching qualification is essential.Ideally be QTLS qualified or hold a minimum Level 5 Teaching qualification.Experience Required for the Functional Skills TutorSignificant experience in teaching and lesson planning.Experience working with young people, including those with complex behaviours or additional learning needs.Extensive behaviour management experience with students who may have challenging needs and behaviours.Additional InformationThe company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
