We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to join our team and help shape the future for students with complex needs and behaviours.?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:Deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in Maths and/or English from Entry Level to Level 2.
  • Foster an inspirational learning environment that respects individual differences and promotes high expectations for achievement and progression.
  • Engage with parents to keep them informed and supportive of learners' progress.
  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with students to enhance their educational journey.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons to help learners achieve their full potential.

�? What Success Looks Like in This Role:

  • Deliver effective teaching, learning, and assessment to students aged 14-19 on-site.
  • Provide a safe, secure, and inclusive education environment tailored to learners with complex needs and behaviours.
  • Be a leader in behaviour management and student support for vulnerable students.
  • Drive performance across engagement, curriculum, teaching quality, safety, achievement, and progression.

�? Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 5).
  • Degree in a related subject.
  • Significant experience in teaching, planning, and delivering to students with complex needs.
  • Strong background in behaviour management and safeguarding.
  • Relevant classroom teaching experience, particularly with learners who have additional needs or challenging behaviours.
