Fabricator/Welder
Our prestigious client, based in Shipdham, are looking for a Fabricator/Welder to join their well-established team.
This is a full time, permanent position, located in Shipdham, working 47 hours per week.
The working hours are:
Monday - Thursday 07:30 to 17:30
Friday 07:30 to 17:00
There is also a requirement to work at least two Saturdays out of four, from 06:00 to 13:00
Due to the Call out element of this role, you must have a full UK driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Welding experience using Mig and stick welding
- Experience in the fabrication of metal work. Nothing of complexity, mostly frame builds etc.
- Metal sheet work i.e. folding.
- Able to replace bearings on machinery and other plant equipment.
- Mechanically Bias.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and repairs.
- Can erect scaffolding, ladder safety check experience, steam work and boiler work (desirable)
- Can work using own initiative.
The successful Fabricator will have to manage being on a 'standby call out’ and attend the site in Shipdham for call out during hours of 16:30 to 06:00.
