Our client, a family-owned business in North Yorkshire with over 30 years of establishment, is looking for a detail-oriented Company Accountant.
The role involves managing the finance department using Sage 50, overseeing a small accounts team, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
Key responsibilities include preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
Candidates should be AAT Qualified or similar, have experience in a similar role, and possess strong Excel skills.
The salary for this position ranges from £38,000 to £42,000, and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.

Our client is a family-owned business rooted in the heart of North Yorkshire, which has been established over 30 years.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Company Accountant to manage our clients finance department using Sage 50 and oversee a small accounts department whilst ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations as well as producing accurate management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain up-to-date financial records and prepare management accounts for reporting into the board.
Prepare budgets and forecasts.
Produce balance sheets and income statements.
Oversee the purchase and sales ledger
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Experience required:

AAT Qualified or similar
Held a similar role reporting into the MD of an owner managed business
Strong Excel ability and experience using Sage 50

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000
