This is a fantastic opportunity, and one that does not come up to often; with a very low turnover, this organisation prides themselves on a strong team culture and dedication to sustainability and excellence.Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full-time and permanent basis. Paying a salary of up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manage credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Handle sales and purchase ledger activities.
  • Oversee stock control, ensuring accurate inventory records and reporting.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred.
