SupportED Recruitment are looking for a teaching assistant to work in our Thirsk and Northallerton schools. This is for an immediate start. If you are looking for an opportunity to build your experience as a 1:1 teaching assistant we would love to hear from you.
In the role your duties will include:
- Showing a friendly and professional approach with staff and children
- Supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting the class teacher whilst they are delivering lessons and activities
- Providing social and emotional support
- Helping the child with their education, by helping to create an engaging learning environment.
- Monitoring pupil progress
- Generating resources
- Supporting the class teacher with potential challenging behaviour
