Are you a tech-savvy administrator with a passion for helping others and a keen interest in furthering your IT knowledge and skills? If so, we have the opportunity you've been looking for! Impression Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside an extremely reputable and well-established business in Dalton in their search for an IT Support Administrator. Within the role you'll be the first point of contact for any issues that arise via the helpdesk ticketing system, assessing the level of support required and allocating to the appropriate member of the IT team. Where possible, you'll also provide 1st line support in resolving IT queries with the aim of always ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. Key duties as IT Support Administrator:
  • Monitor and handle helpdesk tickets in a timely fashion.
  • Allocate incoming requests and update the system accordingly, passing information on to the relevant IT Engineer to ensure issues can be resolved effectively.
  • Provide clear communication throughout the ticketing process to ensure that everyone is kept up to date.
  • Handle the administration of new starter IT onboarding and relevant changes as required.
  • Provide basic first line technical support for software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Liaise with external parties for purchasing of new IT equipment and repairs.
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry and the organisation of IT documents.
  • Assist the management team in helping to improve processes.
  • Ad hoc support with other IT and administrative duties.
Skills / qualities required:
  • Previous experience in administrative role(s).
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General understanding of basic IT hardware and software.
  • A self motivated approach with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A passion to further IT knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
In return the successful IT Support Administrator will receive a salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, working Monday to Friday.
