Facilities & Fleet Manager

Our client is an established and well-respected business based near York. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Facilities & Fleet Manager, to be responsible for managing our clients buildings and facilities, supporting the company in developing site procedures.

The Facilities & Fleet Manager will also be responsibilities for managing transport operationsto ensure that our clients transport fleet is compliant with the latest transport legislation and that the company work in a safe and legally compliant manner.


Facilities & Fleet Manager Key Responsibilities

Facilities

Oversee the management of buildings infrastructure and ensure smooth running of all company property.

Plan and manage the schedule of relevant building works and maintenance.

Ensure all proactive and reactive maintenance is completed fully and efficiently.

Arranging contractors, if needed, and managing when on-site.

Plan and manage the schedule of any building works. Lead negotiations with services and suppliers to ensure the best service for cost.

Keep up-to-date on all safety registrations linked to the facility, ensuring business is compliant with all relevant legislation.


Fleet

Manage our clients fleet, circa. 60 vans/car hire/leases across multiple locations.

Ensure all vehicles are up to date with annual maintenance.

Receive updates from field engineers and arrange repairs if necessary.

Lead and facilitate energy saving initiatives.

Advise best practice in relation to fleet management (including vehicle safety management, optimising fleet availability, reducing recharge damage).


Facilities & Fleet Manager Candidate

Experience of managing a business Buildings, Facilities and Fleet.

Have a strong understanding of facilities and fleet compliance and legal requirements.

Knowledge and experience with EU driver regulations.

Proficiency in general IT systems and applications.

Effective communication with internal and external contacts at all levels.

Adaptability in responding to unforeseen situations, providing guidance and support.

Professional communication in challenging situations with customers and stakeholders.
