A global leader in technical manufacturing are looking to expand their dynamic team and drive business growth with an enthusiastic Materials Engineer at their site based in Crewe.

This is a unified team of professionals excelling within the engineering industry and is backed by over a century of industry experience.

What’s on offer?

  • £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday / 2:45pm finish Friday
  • Bonus - 5% of annual salary if all KPI’s are met

What will you be doing as a Materials Engineer?

  • Supporting the operations team with ensuring the ceramic material meet the high standard by working with the R&D facilities for key materials properties
  • Using a structured approach using Kaisen methodology to find root causes of any material defects and put in corrective action to ensure the problem does not re-occur
  • Working with the commercial team to guide our customers on the correct grade of material suitable for the customers application
  • Using your materials knowledge find potential new business for the commercial team to drive forward

What do you need?

  • Degree in Materials - Technical ceramic degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a materials engineer’s role
  • Technical Ceramic experience preferred
  • 6 Sigma / Kaizen experience
  • Project management experience
