Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning environment.
- Educate students in core subjects, including literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies, while integrating creative activities to enhance learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement strategies and establish clear expectations for student conduct.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop school-wide initiatives that promote student engagement and success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- A recognised teaching qualification in Primary education.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of varying abilities.
- Experience in behaviour management techniques that promote positive interactions among students.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
