Destination Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join the key stage 1 team at an excellent school based in South London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of students in either year 1 or year 2. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to educating children, and effective behaviour management techniques to ensure a positive classroom atmosphere.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning environment.
Educate students in core subjects, including literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies, while integrating creative activities to enhance learning.
Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement strategies and establish clear expectations for student conduct.
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop school-wide initiatives that promote student engagement and success.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

A recognised teaching qualification in Primary education.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students of varying abilities.
Experience in behaviour management techniques that promote positive interactions among students.
A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
Previous experience in an elementary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
