Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health Team, providing specialist psychological support to adults of working age with long-term, complex mental health conditions. The role involves delivering psychological assessments, interventions, and consultation as part of a multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will work with individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties, including psychosis, personality disorders, complex trauma, and co-occurring conditions. The post-holder will contribute to service development, clinical supervision, and training while promoting trauma-informed and recovery-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including risk assessments, formulation, and treatment planning.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, schema therapy) for individuals, groups, and families.
  • Work with individuals experiencing complex and enduring mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and trauma-related difficulties.
  • Adapt interventions to meet the cognitive and emotional needs of service users, including those with neurodevelopmental conditions.
