ASD SEN Teaching Assistant

REED Education is collaborating with schools across Southeast London, all committed to inclusivity and support, aiming to nurture every student to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a passionate and empathetic ASD SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team immediately.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in both academic and social development.

• Collaborate closely with the class teacher to plan and implement tailored learning activities.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Provide individualised or small group support to students as required.

• Monitor and document student progress, offering feedback to both teachers and parents.

• Assist in classroom management and organisation.

• Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.

• A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team.

• Relevant qualifications or training in special education are desirable but not essential.
