Location: Thrapston
Salary: 31,000 - 34,000 per annum
Shift Pattern:

  • Sunday: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Monday - Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee operations at our busy distribution centre. You will ensure smooth daily operations, including stock accuracy, audits, Dangerous Goods (DG) management, and AI-driven process improvements. While there are no direct people management responsibilities, you will lead the shift, ensure targets are met, and keep everything on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Stock Control:
    • Ensure system accuracy across WMS and ERP.
    • Conduct stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and monitor inventory KPIs.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Management:
    • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Oversee Dangerous Goods (DG) handling and conduct internal audits.
  • AI & Process Optimisation:
    • Support AI-driven inventory solutions and process automation.
    • Identify opportunities for warehouse optimisation and inventory improvements.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Support and train DC Team Leaders and staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in inventory management, stock control, and audits.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) handling and compliance.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven inventory solutions and warehouse optimisation.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and compliance audits.
