Hello,
My client in Reading is currently in need of a Quality Inspector due to expansion.
Job Description: As part of a small team, responsible for inspection activities to ensure the quality of both the product and related process requirements are fully met.
Duties:
- To produce First Article Inspection Reports and to be able to use a CMM in support of this..
- To provide roaming and final inspection for all products
- To inspect incoming goods from sub-contract suppliers
- Liaise with customers/suppliers on all quality matters, queries and non-conformances
- To raise Certificates of Conformity and delivery documentation.
- To aid in the control of external and internal equipment calibrations.
- To raise sub-contract Purchase Orders on approved suppliers
- To check First Off production parts
- Liaise with all levels of staff (management to shop floor) on all aspects of quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the management in developing a “continuous improvement” culture.
- To aid the maintenance of current approvals for AS9100 &Nadcap.
- Other adhoc duties as agreed from time to time by the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager.
Location: Reading
Salary: £40k
