We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Swinden Quarry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydraulics, bearings, conveyors, and rail head systems.
A welder fabrication background is highly desirable. This role involves both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of fixed plant machinery. Candidates must be open to working both day and night shifts and have their own vehicle. A proactive approach and the ability to use ones initiative effectively are crucial for success in this role. While an ONC/HNC qualification is desirable, it is not essential.
Skills:
Experience in hydraulics
Knowledge of bearings and conveyors
Background in rail head systems
Welder fabrication skills
Flexibility to work day and night shifts
Proficiency in reactive and PPM tasks
Strong initiative and problem-solving ability
Fixed plant machinery maintenance
Health & Safety awareness
Valid driving licence and own vehicle
Certifications & Standards:
ONC/HNC (desirable but not essential)
