Cnc Machinist

Hello,
My client is urgently in need of a CNC Turner based in Stroud due to expansion.

About My Client:

They’re a design and manufacture propellers for aircraft around the world. Their propellers are found on types ranging from WW1 fighters & Spitfires to experimental high-lift electric drones.

Working with CNC machinery and CAD modelling software, they design and manufacture one-off masterpieces that are as beautiful as they are functional. Alongside computer driven technology, much of our engineering also employs traditional methods and craftsmanship.

The Role:

My client have an exciting opportunity for an additional machinist to work within their small team. They are looking for a person with experience in manufacturing high value products to exacting standards, who takes care and pride in their workmanship. Who has a good understanding of engineering principles and a genuine appreciation for the craft involved in small-scale manufacturing.

The job entails:

• Setting and operating CNC turning and some milling operations
• Making one-offs and small batches of components
• Occasional tool making
• Having a good understanding of engineering drawings
• Accurately inspecting and measuring components

Is this you?

• Experienced in precision CNC operations
• CNC Milling experience an advantage but not a necessity
• CAD knowledge also an advantage
• Have an enthusiastic can-do attitude with an eye for detail
• An interest in Aviation or Heritage Engineering a bonus
• Equally happy to work in a small team or unsupervised
• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Hours 8am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri
• 28 days annual leave inc Bank Holidays.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
