About The School:

I am working with a lovely SEN school in Leciester, who are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.



The Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of children with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support children's learning, communication, and social development.
  • Work closely with a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to create an individualized learning journey for each child.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes independence and builds self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support both in and out of school.


Requirements:

  • A fully qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of SEN, including experience working with children who have a variety of needs.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop individualised learning plans and track progress.
  • A commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
