Your Role:

  • You will report to the Lifecycle Programme Manager, as well as providing technical support to the wider team.
  • You will manage a portfolio of projects from Inception to start of Delivery.
  • You will be expected to balance technical input and guidance, programme requirements and project commercial objectives and relationships with the various stakeholders.
  • You will work with managers and other stakeholders to define the scope, funding routes and approach to each project.
  • You will select and implement appropriate design strategies for each project and the wider lifecycle programme.
  • Where appropriate, you will manage the design consultants and D&B contractors from selection, through appointment and delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Degree/HND/HNC in Building, Engineering or Architecture.
  • Experience: 
  • It is essential to have a wide range of design management experience working on complex multi-funded projects. 
  • Current working knowledge of JSPs, building regulations and fire standards is also a must, as well as current knowledge and experience of implementing sustainability improvement projects in the built environment. Exposure to PFI/PPP and two stage tendering is also key.
  • Skills: A solid skill set comprising effective communication both orally and written, excellent IT skills, the ability to influence and guide, excellent organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and a flexible and pragmatic approach that is comfortable in a changing environment.
