FIND are a specialist staffing business, servicing the Skills, Learning & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. The RoleWe are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to join a leading provider in the training sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of individuals in a highly impactful environment while supporting personal career growth and achieving a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Functional Skills courses in English and Maths, a key component of an Apprenticeship Standard, to a diverse group of learners.
  • Manage mixed-level groups of trainees, including those with learning difficulties (max class size: 16).
  • Conduct assessments, invigilate exams, and mark assignments.
  • Provide fair, constructive feedback both in written and verbal formats.
  • Offer remedial training and revision as required during working hours.
  • Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, and student support materials.
  • Regularly review teaching inputs in response to changing needs of students and the programme.
This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) with hybrid working arrangements: 4 weeks in the office/on-site and 1 week working remotely. Essential Experience:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven experience in delivering training or teaching in a similar environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of work-based learning programmes.
Qualifications:
  • Functional Skills Level 2 English.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 Maths.
