We have temp to perm positions available for professional drivers. The job will involve general haulage work starting from Tilbury driving a Class 1 HGV curtain side although some container work may sometimes be required so experience on both would be desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to deliver goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery schedules.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery statuses and any issues.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 HGV license.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Previous experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver required
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and road safety.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
