Role - Mechanical Site Engineer
Location - Tilbury, Essex
Mint Selection are partnered with a leading IPP who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee mechanical works for a gas peaking project. The role includes installation, commissioning, and FAT/SAT testing to ensure project delivery aligns with safety, quality, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical installation and commissioning on-site.
- Conduct and oversee FAT/SAT procedures for equipment testing.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other disciplines to meet deadlines.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues during construction and testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in gas peaking or related energy projects.
- Knowledge of FAT/SAT testing procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
This is an initial 12-month contract role, outside IR35, with a strong potential for extension.
