Contract Mechanical Site Engineer

12 month contract

Opportunity to help deliver the UK's largest Gas Peaking project

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Mechanical Site Engineer to join the Principal Contractor on a gas peaker construction site. This is a 12-month contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct FAT/SAT testing to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage deliveries on site, coordinating with suppliers and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure high-quality installation by subcontractors.
  • Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Supervise and inspect mechanical installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other engineering disciplines to resolve interface issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, logs, and inspection records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site team and subcontractors.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and any issues encountered.
  • Oversee the commissioning and handover process of completed installations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer on construction projects.
