We are looking for a proactive Import Logistics Executive with experience of all modes of transport to enhance our busy team.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
  • Salary: £30-£35,000 dependant on experience

Role requirements for an Import Logistics Specialist:

  • Proven successful track record of at least two years working for a small to medium sized freight forwarder
  • Experience of CNS and Destin8. Our forwarding software is Multi-freight
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and friendly personality
  • Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong and dynamic team player
  • Excellent Maths and English skills

Job responsibilities and tasks - Import Logistics Specialist

  • Communicating with various customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors such as shipping lines, hauliers and depots
  • Raising internal files
  • Raising Invoices
  • Passing supplier invoices and querying where necessary
  • Checking vessel arrivals
  • Arranging collections and deliveries, making sure to meet customer deadlines
  • Following up after delivery to ensure the customer was happy and find out if there is anything else that we could look after for them
