Weld inspector - Cornwall

Construction - Civil engineering

£(Apply online only) per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a 4 week temporary contract and there may be another 4 week phase to return to shortly after.

A great opportunity to start a temporary weld inspector role in North Cornwall. You will be working on a very unique project for a global civil engineering contractor. Inspecting welds, reporting findings and delegating work to a team of 2 welders.

Day to day:

  • Visual inspection of welds.
  • Dye penetration inspection of welds.
  • Working at heights.
  • Working with stainless steel.
  • Working within a welding team.
  • Reporting findings.
  • Delegating work.
  • Site safety, helping to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Must have a CSCS card.
  • PCN LEVEL 2 (Essential)
  • CSWIP 3.1 (Non essential but preferable)
  • Must have previous experience in welding and inspection.
  • Must work well within a team.
  • Must be comfortable to work at heights.
  • Driving licence (Non essential but preferable due to job location)
  • Professional at all times.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Good timekeeping.
