An exciting opportunity to join a growing, family-run business has arisen. With a history spanning over 10 years, they are now seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to help them meet their growth plans. Your role as a Financial Controller will involve ensuring that the organisation meets its financial requirements and providing accurate and timely information to directors to support effective business decisions for the company.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Coach, motivate and mentor all members of the finance team ensuring they are doing their role effectively and efficiently.
- Review oversees credit control and debt management.
- Oversee sales and purchase ledgers
- Bank Reconciliations for all company accounts.
- Review of costs for business.
- Accruals and Prepayment checks
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT and PVA returns, ensuring all submissions comply with the specified deadlines.
- Assisting with Year End Accounts and Audit
- Fixed Asset Maintenance
- Assisting with profitability analysis
- Foreign currency reconciliations
- Cash forecasting for rolling 3 months
- Run stock valuations and analyse
- Improvements in processes and schedules for accounting records
- Produce detailed and effective monthly management accounts
- Prepare annual financial statementsÂ
- Maintain Asset and depreciation schedules
The ideal Financial Controller:
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller role or similar
- Experience using various accounting packages – Tyresoft accounting package knowledge would be an advantageÂ
- Qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) in finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
