About the Role:
I am seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will help ensure the finance function supports the broader business effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in a medium-sized finance function.

If you are skilled in Sage 50 accounts, possess excellent Excel skills, and have the ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post month-end journals and ensure all tasks are completed within SLAs.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets accurately.
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts and variance analysis.
  • Complete VAT returns in line with HMRC and company deadlines.
  • Manage prepayments, accruals, and subcontractor payments.
  • Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Support purchase and sales ledger tasks and address related queries.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks, including data analysis and trend reporting.
  • Stay current with legislation and maintain CPD records.

About you:

  • Professional qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Sage Accounting, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • A proactive and innovative approach with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
